The Richmond Real Estate Investors Association (RREIA) is a group which consists of professional real estate investors located throughout . RREIA provides a medium in which our members can further their education specific to the field of real estate investing. It also allows members to network with one another as well as with other professionals related to the real estate investment industry. Our members are required to abide by a Code of Ethics, specific to real estate investors, and as result we encourage our members to invest with integrity, honesty, and moral values. Members of RREIA buy, sell, and hold real estate for profit.
History
The group began in December of 2002 as a real estate investing and networking group called RCIA, the Richmond Creative Investors Association. The group, though informal, grew at a substantial rate. In April 2005, the group went through some reorganization. In June 2005, RCIA was disbanded and the Richmond Real Estate Investors Association was incorporated. In July of 2005, RREIA became a member of National REIA.
RREIA is managed by two individuals, Troy Ross, the President and Executive Director of RREIA, and Deb Orth, the Vice-President and Director of RREIA. Both are experienced full time real estate investors, owning their own real estate investment business.
The RREIA Mission
Our Mission is to help investors network with one another, obtain education to help them become accomplished professionals, and utilize and require that all members adhere to the highest ethical standards in each facet of their business. Our members strive to be upstanding citizens in our communities and promise to provide service to their customers in an honest and reputable manner. We firmly believe that education is the key to success for the professional real estate investor. The organization utilizes today's technology to help achieve the mission.
Meetings
RREIA holds a meeting once a month. Members are encouraged to network with other members and to take advantage of learning opportunities provided by guest speakers. As often as possible, the Executive Director and Director of RREIA will schedule nationally or regionally recognized guest speakers to speak or conduct trainings at meetings. Several times a year we have real estate professionals, suppliers, and technical experts speak with our group. Vendor members have many opportunities to present their services to regular members as well. On occasion, we will utilize teleconferences for meetings as well.
Website
This website not only provides information about RREIA and educational materials for our members, but it also serves as a professional online community. The RREIA uses an integrated online discussion forum to share information between members. We are constantly exchanging information about success stories, services, leads and real estate deals. This forum is a privately held and only members of RREIA have access.
We hope that you will join RREIA and become a part of our community. We want to see each member succeed and to achieve their financial goals through investment in real estate.

If you are a real estate investor or if you are interested in making your money work for you by becoming a professional real estate investor, then we encourage you to join our organization. The RREIA is open to real estate investors who reside in Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.
If you are an Accountant, Attorney, Contractor, Sub-contractor, Mortgage Broker, Mortgage Lender, or Loan Officer, Painter, RealtorŪ, Home Inspector, or other service-related business person, we encourage you to join RREIA as well. You can join RREIA as a certified Vendor Member and provide your services to our Member Investors. Vendor membership is open to businesses in Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.

Please note that all General Meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of each month and each meeting starts promptly at 7pm and will end by 9pm. General Meetings are held at the Richmond Association of Realtors building (second floor) which is located at 8975 Three Chopt Road in Richmond, Virginia. Non-member Guests must pay a Guest Fee of $25 at the door or online via our website - prior to the meeting date. ALL attendees, members and guests alike, may sign-up to attend any general meeting via our website. |
